We have driven the entire Albanian coast from Durres to Saranda and can honestly say that if you haven't experienced the stretch from Vlora to Saranda, you've missed out on a lot.
Although there aren't many kilometers here, it takes more time than planned, because you just want to stop, enjoy the wonderful views, take photos, film, and even launch our trusty drone!
The views you will see in the show "Traveling without borders", in the Albanian series, will be stunning, we can guarantee that!
But a few tips for those who want to go to Albania in the near or distant future:
1. It's not as cheap here as it was 9 years ago, but it's still cheaper than in many parts of Europe, though some things are also more expensive. Some price examples: a liter of diesel is 1.95 EUR, car rental is 50 EUR per day, lunch for two is 25 EUR, a hotel with breakfast for two is 50-350 EUR, car parking is 2 EUR for the whole day, grapes are 2 EUR per kg.
2. Those who are used to Turkish service and its quality, it's better to continue traveling to Turkey, here you might not get the desired service.
3. The people are hospitable and very kind.
4. You cannot always rely on bank cards everywhere.
5. This country should be enjoyed before the influx of Eastern and Southern European tourism overwhelms it, so hurry!
