Today's excursion to the ghost town raised many questions!
In Northern Cyprus, there is a city called Varosha, which in the last century was the most popular resort in the world and a city visited by all the world's elite, but in 1974, after unrest and bombing, everything changed and now it is a ghost town, for more than 40 years. Only in recent years have tourists been allowed in, and part of the city can be seen.
All the grand hotels of that time, all the houses and shops are empty; it feels like you've landed in a movie where people have vanished from Earth, and you've suddenly woken up from a long sleep!
This was an emotionally interesting and thought-provoking excursion.
We will try to answer all questions in the "Traveling Without Borders" broadcast about Northern Cyprus!
