This 2023/24 winter season, the main trip destination will be the Jasná ski resort in Slovakia. Jasná has been rapidly developing in recent years: new well-maintained slopes are being added, along with new modern lifts that significantly reduce queues. There are artificial snow cannons everywhere, guaranteeing snow on the slopes even in very unfavorable weather conditions. Many freeride zones are available, all of which have been explored and will be shown to you. It's possible to ski and snowboard at the level of the best Alpine resorts for more democratic prices. The distance from Riga is 1150 km. This is the closest resort to Latvia with a total slope length of over 55 km and modern infrastructure.
Accommodation will be in the comfortable VILLA VLASKY or VILLA ESTERA,
which have a fully equipped kitchen: refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, all dishes, etc. There are 4 bedrooms and a large living room where our friendly company can sit by the fireplace in the evenings. We will prepare breakfast ourselves, and dinner usually in local restaurants - delicious and relatively cheap, costing an average of 10-15 EUR per person. In the evenings, you can go to several thermal spas in the region, or rent a sauna near a natural, warm outdoor thermal spring.
The cost will be 470 EUR (or 440 EUR if booked at least 60
days in advance). The trip is 8 days. Hotel for 6 nights (without meals). Tourist tax, bed linen, and final cleaning are also included.
We travel with a comfortable 8-seater minibus: adjustable seats,
plenty of space for bags, skis, and snowboards. We will pick you up and deliver you back home with all your luggage and equipment from Riga and within a 10 km radius, or along the way to Bauska. For other locations, we will arrange a meeting point. Daily transport to and from the resort, as well as to spas, pubs, shops, etc., is also included. We will show and recommend slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, as well as off-piste opportunities. For those who need it, I will teach the basics of skiing for free on the first day; more serious training can also be arranged later. On one of the days, we will go to the High Tatras: Štrbské Pleso or Tatranská Lomnica. The travel is included, and the lift ticket is the same as in Jasná. In these resorts, I will also gladly show you all the best spots both on and off the slopes.
