The Exotic Seychelles Islands, Is It Really Paradise?
After the students' autumn holidays, when we traveled and saw part of Switzerland, we wanted to extend the summer a bit longer and enjoy something sunny, hot, and exotic, so our next destination is the Seychelles Islands.
Turkish Airlines offered relatively cheap tickets, 740 Eur for a round trip, so without thinking too long, we bought tickets and flew to these highly acclaimed Seychelles Islands. Many travelers call these islands Paradise on Earth, and we will go to find out if it's really that good there.

Upon arriving on the island, we are surprised at how green it is, and it feels like we have entered a botanical garden. For the first 2 nights, we stay at the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa and enjoy both the many restaurants, the largest pool on these islands, as well as the beach and exotic fruits.
On the second day, we have an excursion to the world's smallest capital, Victoria, and we will also get acquainted with the island's most popular Rum, Takamaka.

Waldorf Astoria, the most expensive and exotic hotel in life!
In Episode 2 of Seychelles, we head to the airport to fly to a small island called Platte and stay at the Waldorf Astoria hotel for 3 days. This is the most exotic and expensive hotel we've ever stayed at, and these 3 days will be both busy, with lots of filming, and also filled with many experiences we haven't enjoyed before.
The island is a 20-minute flight from the main island, Mahe, and the entire island is the hotel's property. We will be staying in new and luxurious villas on the oceanfront, with private swimming pools. We will ride bicycles, snorkel, play Padel, watch chefs prepare food, interview various staff, and much more.
We want to show you at least a part of all this beauty!

Seychelles, Platte Island, Hilton
In the 3rd episode of our Seychelles series, we continue to explore Platte Island and the Waldorf Astoria hotel, one of the most expensive hotels we have stayed in so far.
We start the morning by watching the sunrise on the beach and observing the tiny crabs in the first rays of the sun.
Together with Marks, we play Padel, a game similar to tennis, and sweat several kilograms in an hour. During the day, we interview the chefs, and they show off their cultivated gardens, we go kayaking in the ocean and cycle around the island. We enjoy dinner at another restaurant, where local Creole food is served, and we can taste Takamaka rum specially created for this hotel.
The next morning, we wake up early and go snorkeling, but after breakfast, we pack our bags and fly back to the main island, where we will live and relax for one night on Eden Island!

We're taking student letters to the Seychelles!
We traveled to the Seychelles with 57 letters written by Dobele primary school students and really hoped to find a school there to deliver these letters to Seychellois children. ❤️
Thanks to our partners, the Tourism Center, which organized a big event at the school, we had this opportunity not only to meet with the children and deliver these letters to them, but we also told everyone present a little about Latvia, how this idea of writing letters came about, and about our travel show. 😍
Several television, radio, and print media outlets were invited to the event, and our letter idea made it onto Seychelles television! ☺️
This was our most emotional event and most wonderful experience in the Seychelles, and already this evening, in the new Seychelles episode, you will be able to see our great letter adventure. 🥰
At the end of April, we will go to Sri Lanka and will again take children's letters. If you also want your child to find a pen pal in Sri Lanka, feel free to write to me privately, and we will be happy for every letter we can take to another Indian Ocean country! 😍😍😍

Praslin Island and the world's largest nut, Coco De Mer
Our Seychelles adventures continue, and in this episode, we explore the island of Praslin and see how the world's largest nuts, Coco de mer, grow.
Our bus driver is very knowledgeable about these nuts and the park itself, so we have an interesting and educational walk through the park where these nuts grow.
After driving around and seeing part of the island, we head for lunch at one of the world's most popular beaches, Anse Lazio. Here we also have some free time to catch our breath, but in the evening, back in our village, we go for dinner and the girls try out African rhythms and local dances.

La Digue Island and the World's Most Photographed Beaches!
In this series, we will show another island, named La Digue. This island is popular for its fabulously beautiful beaches, and these are the most photographed beaches in the World.
Upon arriving on the island, we get bicycles and immediately go looking for the famous beaches. Along the way, we feed the large tortoises, see how vanilla trees grow, and right behind the vanilla and coconut plantations are the beaches that we had only seen in various pictures and YouTube videos until now.
We don't get to relax on the beaches for long; as soon as we've taken our pictures, we head for lunch and to our new hotel.
In the evening, we enjoy dinner at sunset, and the next day we head out into the ocean to find the best snorkeling spots.

Third Largest Hotel in the Indian Ocean
We continue to explore the Seychelles, and together with a guy from our boat, we travel across the entire island to a place where we will have lunch and where giant tortoises live in the wild.
It's extremely hot outside, but the views are excellent, and lunch with the giant tortoises is fantastic.
Later, we snorkel and see many different ocean inhabitants, starting with colorful fish and ending with turtles and sharks.
Having returned to the main island, Mahe, for the next 3 days we will be staying at the third largest hotel in the Indian Ocean, Constance Ephelia.

Seychelles and Constance Ephelia
The Seychelles adventure and also the final episode of the season.
